Erica Morrill, BA, BSW, RSW
MSW Practicum Student
I am a practicum student at Aspire Too, completing my Master of Social Work with the University of Calgary. With a deep respect for peoples lived experiences and resilience, I strive to offer a safe, compassionate space for healing, growth, and connection.
My professional background includes several years with the Saskatchewan Health Authority as an Assessor Coordinator, supporting individuals and families through complex transitions in both acute care and community settings. I also bring previous experience in child protection,
mental health, and crisis intervention, along with frontline work supporting children and families impacted by trauma.
My journey in social work has taken me from the prairies to places like South Africa, where I facilitated restorative justice programs and group therapy sessions, and Denmark, where I studied Development and International Relations. These international experiences not only
nurtured my love of travel but also shaped my understanding of the diverse ways people experience pain, healing, and resilience.
I believe in a trauma-informed, client-centered approach that meets people where they’re at, and I’m passionate about walking alongside others as they navigate life’s challenges.
I work with individuals, couples, and families in the following areas:
- Addiction/substance use
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Medical trauma/chronic illness
- Self-esteem/body image
- Grief and loss
- Life transitions
During my practicum with Aspire Too, it is my goal to take advantage of as many professional development opportunities as I can. I’m committed to continually growing my knowledge and skills so I can better support you in your journey. Whether we connect in the office, outdoors, over the phone, or through video, my goal is to create a space that feels safe, comfortable, and grounded in trust.
I’m honoured to be completing my MSW practicum at Aspire Too and am grateful for the opportunity to continue learning and supporting others in meaningful ways. I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for the complexities of the human experience. No two stories are the same, and I feel honoured to walk alongside clients as they navigate their own unique paths.
