Gisele Plamondon, BSW, RSW
Clinical Counsellor/Registered Social Worker/Yoga Teacher

Hi! I’m Gisele.

I am passionate about empowering you to reconnect with yourself. I want you to reclaim the power you have over your own life and I believe that a healthy sense of self compassion is foundational for healing and growth. A major part of the work that I do with clients is allowing them the space to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours from a place of self acceptance. It is from this space of self awareness that we create goals to help you build the life that is most aligned with your needs and desires.  My approach is person-centred and I seek to understand each situation from the perspectives of my clients. My hope is that you leave each session feeling a little bit lighter than when you came in.

I have a Bachelors degree in Social Work from the University of Regina and I am registered with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers. My undergrad studies were heavily influenced by psychology and spirituality and I love to work with clients on all levels: body, mind, and soul. I have a background in yoga, meditation, and yoga therapy and I believe that the breath has the power to move us through pain and trauma. I have undertaken multiple trainings in relation to love and partnership, and although I do offer couples therapy, I prefer to work with clients one-on-one because I believe that personal practice is the foundation for healthy relationships.

I am available for workshops and team trainings on the following topics: stress management, mindfulness and meditation, self care and setting boundaries, building healthy relationships, and fostering self esteem in youth and young adults. If you are interested in hiring me to facilitate a group event on a different topic you can send me an email and we can discuss if I would be a good fit.

I work with clients in the following areas:

  • Anxiety, Depression, and Mood Disorders
  • Self Esteem and Self Confidence
  • Boundary Setting
  • Vulnerability and Emotional Wellness
  • Self Acceptance (often referred to as Shadow Work)
  • Relationship Issues
  • Personal Growth and Self Care
  • Decision Making
  • Social and Life Skills
  • Communication Skills
  • Spiritual Psychology

When I’m not inspiring clients to realize their power you can find me practicing yoga, getting out into nature with friends, or planning my next trip to Hawaii.
