Hi, I’m Jeff Waescher, a practicum therapist currently completing my Master of Education in Educational Psychology (Counselling Route) at the University of Regina. I bring over 15 years of experience supporting individuals in navigating mental health challenges,
addictions, trauma, and life transitions.

My therapeutic style is collaborative, trauma-informed, and deeply client-centered. I draw on modalities such as motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and mindfulness-based practices to meet each client where they are. I believe mindfulness—
paying intentional attention to one’s inner experience with openness and compassion—is a powerful tool for fostering resilience, emotional regulation, and self-connection. I’m particularly passionate about weaving evolutionary psychology and ecotherapy into my work. Understanding how our ancient biological wiring shapes modern stress, attachment, and coping can offer profound self-insight. Likewise, reconnecting with the natural world through ecotherapeutic practices can help restore balance, meaning, and a sense of belonging—especially in times of overwhelm or disconnection. I see wellness as a dynamic interplay between mind, body, community, and environment, and I aim to help clients strengthen all aspects of that web. My goal is to create a therapeutic space that is warm, empowering, and grounded in both evidence and empathy. I am excited to be part of the Aspire Too team and look forward to supporting clients as they move toward greater clarity, resilience, and connection.

I provide reduced rate counselling for clients ages 16+ in the Saskatoon office, and virtually, in the following areas:

  • Mental health and wellness, including anxiety and depression
  • Substance use and dependence
  • Trauma
  • Life transitions
  • Location: Saskatoon
