Whether you have a clinical diagnosis or are simply struggling to feel like yourself, we’re here to help. Our clinicians work with clients in all areas of mental and emotional health and are skilled at providing clarity while also creating a space for you to explore where you’re at. We provide tools and resources as well as a safe space to address any limiting beliefs that are holding you back and impacting the way you see yourself and the world around you.
Our belief is that the first step to healing is building a foundation for growth and self-discovery. There are many things that we can do to build resilience into our lives and counselling is one of the most powerful tools for coping with stress and change. Counselling can make a huge difference in your emotional well being and your ability to create the life that you desire. We work with clients through all sorts of situations and at all levels of intensity and you do not need a mental health diagnosis or a history of trauma to book a session with one of our counsellors. Our office is a safe and confidential space for you to come in and explore your own thoughts and feelings about the world around you. Whatever you’ve got going on, we’re here to help.
A new addition at Aspire Too, we will now be offering walk and talk therapy down by the river. This beautiful blend of standard talk therapy and eco-therapy has been shown to be highly effective and beneficial. Getting into nature is great for our brains and the physical movement of walking increases relaxation and provides more space for awareness and insight. Stay tuned for more information on availability and pricing.
The health of our relationships is crucial for our mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. We know that love can be difficult and that sometimes you just need some extra guidance in the relationship department. We work with couples and families to restore balance and discover new solutions to old problems. We teach couples how to honour the unique differences in one another while also creating harmony and a sense of safety within the partnership. We believe that everything is simply a dynamic and that even the most stubborn relationship patterns can be transformed with a shift in perspective and a re-alignment with love and compassion for one another.
Two of our directors, Leanne Leedahl and Elizabeth Smith, have been rated the Top 3 Marriage Counsellors in Saskatoon for the past five years. Their wisdom and guidance allows our team to provide effective and compassionate interventions for couples in need and is a cornerstone of our continued success with couples and families.
Just like adults, sometimes children need extra guidance and support. Our child and youth clinicians are highly skilled and are trained to provide safe and effective treatment for children and youth for a wide variety of issues. Our child and youth clinicians also work collaboratively with the child’s parents to educate them and to provide them with the tools required to support their children. The first session is spent with the parents, assessing their child’s needs, and developing a comprehensive plan to address any areas of concern. Services for children and youth include:
*Please note that parents of children aged 16 or younger attend the first session without the child, in order for the parent to meet with the counsellor to discuss concerns and to develop a plan for the counsellor working with the child moving forward. We require parental consent forms to be completed for all children aged 16 and younger; in cases of shared custody, both parents are required to sign the parental consent. Forms can be emailed to you prior to the first session, please inquire with our office manager.
We help parents pick the most problematic behavior, reframe the behavior and strategies to restore order in their homes.
In the area of Play Therapy, we help children who have:
