As a practicum student therapist completing the final requirements for my counselling education, I bring a unique blend of professional and personal experience to my practice. With a career spanning almost two decades rooted in Community Planning and people leading, I have developed a deep understanding of the dynamics of human behaviour and the importance of fostering healthy relationships within communities.

My approach is holistic and client-centered and is grounded in family systems and transpersonal principles that recognize the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit in a person’s healing journey. My experience as a human has included operating in life with deep seeded false beliefs about who I was and how I “needed” to be, which became a catalyst for developing the many “masks” I wore to cope in my life. In coming to understand how I showed up in the world and why, I was able to start to walk with more comfort, grace and peace. It became my desire to create a safe and accepting space where all parts of a person are welcomed, where one’s genuine self is loved, and where radical acceptance is embraced.

Integrating Internal Family Systems and Somatic Experiencing into my practice, I’m deeply passionate about supporting adults in navigating the intricate landscape of relationships, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and parenting. I also have a deep interest in guiding individuals through the challenges and dynamics of co-parenting, having walked this path myself. The use of Internal Family Systems Therapy, can allow a process of uncovering and navigating the various internal “parts” of the self, allowing clients to gain insight into their patterns of behaviour and develop strategies for fostering internal healing, acceptance, and more peace amid life’s complexities. I also support clients in processing and releasing stored trauma through an integration of somatic techniques, such as breathwork and body awareness, aiming to help clients cultivate resilience, regulate their nervous systems, and restore balance in their lives. During my practicum, I will be seeing clients who are 16+ needing assistance in the following areas:
